  May 2010 – Overall progress and launch schedule

The following is the latest schedule for TickITplus launch, which as previously described will be in three stages:

  • Foundation – which covers the basic requirements and compliance to the process model
  • Capability – which covers process capability determination to levels 2, (Bronze) and 3, (Silver)
  • Optimisation – which addresses requirements at levels 4, (Gold), and 5, (Platinum).

Although discussions with UKAS over accreditation have taken a little longer than originally planned, these are making good progress, as are discussions with a commercial organisation for the administration support of the scheme. We hope to have finalised arrangements with GASQ for handling the Assessor registration, examination and training providers’ accreditation in the next couple of months. Whilst there have been some delays to the details previously published, this has been limited to one month only – see details below.

   
 

Completed milestones:

  • October 2009 – First pilot Foundation Courses presented and examinations for TickITplus Assessors/Practitioners taken by selected Certification Body TickIT Auditors – this is now completed
  • November 2009 – First of the set of scheme documentation material available – Delivering Quality in IT – via BSI – now available on the downloads page
   
 

Future milestones:

  • June 2010 – Target date for first public Foundation Courses
  • October 2010 – Target date for first public release of BPL process model
  • October 2010 – Target date for first public Capability Level courses
  • September 2010 – Target publication date for key scheme documentation – Requirements and Guide, Qualifications etc. This will be followed by the remainder of the documentation set at defined intervals.
  • January 2011 – Target date for UKAS accreditation of TickITplus at Foundation level. Migration period will commence some 3 months after this date with periods between 24 and 36 months depending on circumstances – details to be provided later.
  • April 2011 – Planned date for start of migration period from the current TickIT scheme.
  • July 2011 – Target date for UKAS accreditation of TickITplus at Bronze and Silver levels with extension to cover ISO/IEC 20000 and ISO/IEC 27001 certification.
  • February 2012 – Target date for UKAS accreditation of TickITplus at Gold and Platinum levels and extension to cover ISO/IEC 25030 certification.

December 2009 – First of the TickITplus scheme documents issued
