TickITplus Transition Period Ends 30th November 2014

The official transition period from the older TickIT scheme to the updated TickITplus scheme terminates on the 30th November 2014. After this date, existing TickIT certified companies must have transitioned to TickITplus or accept that their original ISO9001/TickIT Certificate will only be valid for the requirements of ISO9001.

All organisations who wish to become TickITplus certificated in the future must undergo a full certification assessment and are advised to contact their respective Certification Body (BSI, LRQA, DNV, AFNOR) as soon as possible.

There has been a significant increase in the number of organisations that have been awarded TickITplus certification in 2014. These include Saab Dynamics AB, Lockheed Martin UK, Capgemini UK PLC, Atkins Defence, BAE Systems Bofors and QinetiQ Ltd. TickITplus compliant companies not currently listed should contact their Certification Body who will make the necessary arrangement for listing with the TickITplus Scheme Office.

The majority of organisations who have achieved certification to the new standard were assisted by the official TickITplus publications which describe the Core Scheme Requirements and Base Process Library (BPL). Many also sent key managers on TickITplus Foundation courses designed to enhance the understanding of the TickITplus concepts, materials, process capability assessments and the role of the BPL.
